Retrieve tracking details for a completed payment. Where available, this endpoint returns the scheme-level tracking reference assigned to the payment by Verto's banking partners — allowing you to trace the payment through the correspondent banking chain or share proof of payment with the recipient's bank.

The tracking reference returned depends on the payment type and destination market:

• SWIFT payments — returns the MT103 or UETR (Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference), the standard SWIFT gpi tracking identifier. This can be used to track the payment across the correspondent banking chain via SWIFT gpi Tracker.
• Nigeria (NGN) local payments — returns the NIP Session ID assigned by the NIBSS interbank settlement system. Share this with the recipient's bank to locate the credit.
• Kenya (KES) local payments — returns the local scheme tracking ID for the payment for Pesalink, and M-Pesa payments.

For SWIFT payments, an MT103 payment confirmation may also be available. The MT103 is the standard documentary proof of a SWIFT transfer and can be shared with the beneficiary or their bank to confirm the payment was sent.
